Fides Service: AMERICA/HONDURAS - Crisis in Honduras: ““The fight we see should not increase violence instead it should be a new departure for dialogue, consensus, reconciliation ” Bishops say

(INSIDER CONFESSIONS ANALYSIS)

Article by Marc Aupiais

Fides Speak in their own capacity, their views do not necessarily represent ours. The following are two articles from Fides Service, which are of interest, as it relates the views of local bishops in an area: on a noted scenario: (we will firstly quote the article in English, before going to the comments of the bishops in Spanish, below this: we then give an automated translation of their statements, which were: signed... seemingly by 11 bishops: ) [paragraphing added:]

AMERICA/HONDURAS - Crisis in Honduras: ““The fight we see should not increase violence instead it should be a new departure for dialogue, consensus, reconciliation ” Bishops say
Tegucigalpa (Agenzia Fides) - In a statement “Building on the Crisis”, issued by the Catholic Bishops' Conference of Honduras after events on 28 June, the Bishops express the necessity for explanations regarding what happened. They say “Honduras has always been and wishes to continue being a country of brothers and sisters living united in justice and peace”, this is why “we must firmly choose to listen to one another's opinions in order to start authentic dialogue between ever sector of society, and to reach constructive solutions”. At the same time it is “fundamental to respect the calendar of the Supreme Electoral Court for the month of November ”.

The Bishops make a special appeal to those who have had or have the country's leadership in their hands, urging them “not to allow themselves to be misled by selfishness, revenge, violence or corruption ” but to seek “paths of agreement and reconciliation putting aside group or party interests”.

The urge social, economic and political groups to “put aside emotional reactions and seek the truth…today more than ever media operators must express their love for Honduras, striving to promote reconciliation and serenity in our country, putting aside personal attacks on the quest for the common good ”. The Bishops call on the people to share these ideas with respect and responsibility “so that we can build a Honduras of more justice and solidarity by means of honest work”.

The Bishops show the international community “our right to choose our destiny free of any unilateral pressure, seeking solutions to promote the good of all”. In this sense they reject “threats on the part of any force or block which produce only suffering in poorer countries ”.
The Bishops in the text express gratitude to brothers and sisters from other countries, “who with acts of solidarity, support and closeness indicate to us horizons of hope to counter threatening attitudes of certain governments ”.

“The present situation can serve to build and undertake a new path, a new Honduras” the text reads. “The fight we see – the Bishops continue - should not increase violence instead it should be a new departure for dialogue, consensus, reconciliation to fortify the Honduran family and enable us to undertake the path to integral development for all the men and women of our country ”.

The Bishops conclude their statement calling on the faithful “to intensify prayers and fasting in solidarity that justice and peace may reign ”. (RG) (Agenzia Fides 9/7/2009)

Translation of these statements, via machine: (we do not guarantee the accuracy of this translation:)

OFFICIAL ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE EPISCOPAL CONFERENCE OF HONDURAS

"Building from the Crisis"

Barely three weeks, at the Plenary Assembly of the Bishops' Conference made it clear that social justice, dialogue and consultation within the framework of the law are requirements that must be recognized and respected for our people.

Given the situation of recent days, we refer to the information we sought in the competent state (the Supreme Court, Congress, the Public Ministry, the Executive, the Supreme Electoral Tribunal), and many organizations in society civil .- Each of the documents that have come to our hands, show that the democratic institutions of the State of Honduras is in effect and that its record on law and legal rights have been attached to .- The three branches of government , Executive, Legislative and Judiciary, are in legal and democratic force in accordance with the Constitution of the Republic of Honduras.

The Constitution of the Republic and the administrative justice of the country makes us conclude that:

a.) As referred to in Article 239 of the Constitution of the Republic "Who proposed the reform" of this Article, "immediately cease the discharge of his office and is disqualified for ten years for the exercise of public function . Therefore, the person sought, when he was captured, no longer served as President of the Republic.

b.) On June 26, 2009, the Supreme Court unanimously appointed a judge who issued the warrant for the arrest of the citizen President of the Republic of Honduras, who is presumed responsible for the crimes of : against the form of government, treason, abuse of authority and usurpation of functions to the detriment of the public administration and the State of Honduras, as a result of the previous fiscal requirements presented in this Court by the Public Ministry.

Learning from mistakes in the future to amend

"No Honduran expatriate may not be delivered to a foreign state" (Art. 102, Constitution of the Republic ") .- We believe that we all deserve an explanation of what occurred on June 28.

On June 19 we said that we are all more or less responsible for a situation of social injustice .- But we still believe that Honduras has been and wants to remain a people of brothers, to live together in justice and peace.

Therefore it is necessary to decisively choose to hear the views of others, so that it can engage in a genuine dialogue among all sectors of society, to reach constructive solutions.

It is essential to respect the calendar of the Supreme Electoral Tribunal to ensure the elections next November.

It is necessary to globalize solidarity as a way that can help us overcome the injustice and inequity .- The international community, with adequate information on the situation of our country, can contribute to these purposes.

We call special

Those who have or had in his hands the country's leadership to invite them not to get carried away by selfishness, revenge, persecution, violence and corruption .- You can always find ways of understanding and reconciliation, beyond the partisan or group interests.

The social, economic and political rights, we urge them to overcome emotional reactions and seek the truth .- Today more than ever, communicators need to express their love to Honduras seeking peace and serenity of our people, leaving aside the personal attacks and seeking the common good.

In the general population continue to invite participation in a respectful and responsible, understanding that we can all build a more fair and Honduras, with honest labor.

The Organization of American States to call attention to everything that was happening outside the law in Honduras, not only what happened from June 28 last. Honduran people also wondered why they have not condemned the threats of war against our country .- If the inter-American system is limited to protecting democracy in the polls, but no one follows up on good governance, the prevention of political crises economic and social, nothing will serve the belated reaction against them.

The international community has said we have the right to define our own destiny without any kind of unilateral pressures, seeking solutions that promote the well .- We reject all threats of force or blockages of any kind that only make the poor suffer.

Thank mean brothers and sisters in many countries, with their gestures of solidarity, support and closeness, we provide horizons of hope as opposed to threatening attitudes of some governments.

The present situation can serve to build and launch a new path, a new Honduras .- The confrontation that is being viewed, should not serve to exacerbate the violence but as a new starting point for dialogue, consensus and reconciliation that we strengthen Honduran family, and we can start a path of development for all Hondurans and Honduran.

We urge the faithful to intensify prayer and fasting in solidarity to prevail justice and peace.

"Middle East": Benedict XVI in the region, visits "Jordan"

(Insider Confessions Analysis ; c.f. Article by Marc Aupiais

"His Holiness", "Shepherd" of the "Holy Roman Catholic, and Apostolic Faith", "Pope" "Benedict XVI", is visiting the region in our world, commonly known as the "Middle East". Despite attacks on his integrity, by some, and the spoking up of tensions, caused by his previous "scholarly" quotation (2 years ago (12th "September", "2006"), at the " University" Of "Regensburg", the "Pope" made the quotation, after which allot of inter-religious dialogue did follow, despite some very negative reation) of the "Byzantine" "Emporer" "Manuel II", who had, centuries prior, made a speech calling for the crusades, against "Islam", the centuries old quote, was allegedly recalled in a scholarly context, and it seems the "Vatican" emphasized that it was not an opinion of the "Pope", but of the long dead "Eastern Roman"/"Byzantine" "Emperor", "Benedict XVI", has not been deterred, from attempting to further relations with the various peoples of the "Middle East", with the occupants of "Jordan", "Palestine", and of the region commonly called "Israel", which he plans to visit, despite recent anger by sections in the "Vatican", over the "Israeli" response to what "Israel" called "terrorism" against its people: by "Palestinian" grouping: "Hamas" (an acronym for: "Islamic Resistance Movement"), and despite open protests against the "Papacy", by some.

"Pope" "Benedict XVI", has been careful to emphasize, his mission: to the "Holy Land", as a representative of the church, on a "pilgrimage of peace", is "Spiritual", not "Political". He did so, on his flight from "Rome", "Italy", to "Amman", "Rabbah", "Jordan", when finally interviewed by "Vatican" media liaison: "Father" "Federico Lombardi".

Various alleged parties to multiple conflicts which have sporadically emerged, dotted throughout the so-called "Middle East", have often been blamed for alleged use of religious icons, and alleged abuse of solidarity to various faiths, in order to achieve political means, allegedly foreign to such faiths. Despite threats, and risk, the "Holy Roman Pontiff", has decided to take this trip, so shortly after the recent skirmish between "Hamas" (an acronym for "Islamic Resistance Movement"), and the previous "Israeli" administration. He hopes to strengthen "Consciences", and, by reference to the position of the church, in the peace hopes, seemingly claims that parties, must see beyond special interests: to find peace, which are in his opinion, a hindrance to persons seeing the real "issues", and holding to true "values".

"Benedict XVI", wants to promote diologue, between all three of the "Abrahamic" "Religions", between "Christianity", "Islam", and "Judaism". He seems to hope, that religion, can contribute to some lasting peace in the war-torn region.

On landing in "Jordan", at "Amman"'s International "Airport", the "Pontiff", met with "Jordan"'s "King" "Abdullah II" and "Queen" "Rania", the "king" praised "Benedict XVI"'s visit as historic, while the "Vatican Head of State", congratulated the leader of "Jordan", for its "openness", in that "Christians" could build churches, the "Pontiff", also praised the "king", for allowing refuge to those fleeing nearby "Iraq", and for his perception of its efforts at causing peace in the "Israeli"-"Palestinian" quagmire.

The "Vatican Head of State", claims to be in "Jordan", to venerate "Holy Sites".

The "Roman Pontiff" went on, visiting the "Regina Pacis" (Latin for: (assumed reference to "Mary": "Our Lady")(direct:) "Queen of Peace"), a place which aims at rehabilitating those with various disabilities, so that they can once again operate functionally within society. "Pope" "John Paul II", blessed a stone which forms part of the centre, in "2001". It was founded by "Bishop Selim Sayegh", "Titular Bishop of Aquae in Proconsulari", who was ordained a "Bishop" in "1982" (06th "January"), by "Pope" "John Paul II". "Bishop" "Sayegh", was concerned by the treatment of disabled persons in society.

The centre is inter-religious, with both "Christian", and "Muslim" volunteers, and takes care of disabled persons, regardless of creed. The pope was greeted in several languages by occupants of the centre, as well as by both "Christian" and "Muslim" volunteers. He asked the young disabled persons, for a favour, to pray for his pilgrimage, in their region.

And, what shall the "Pontiff" do next?

According to ("Catholic News agency (Catholic; Independent; American) 09 / 05 (May) / 2009):

"During the Papal Mass on May 10 in Amman, Jordan, Pope Benedict XVI will give First Communion to 40 Iraqi children, according to the Secretary of the Chaldean Diocese of Jordan, Msgr. Raymond Moussalli.

The SIR news agency reports that Msgr. Moussalli, who is in charge of welcoming Iraqi refugees in Amman, said Jordan children would be among the group as well. "Their desire is to pray with the Pope for reconciliation and peace in Iraq. It will be an important moment for us faithful not only in Jordan but also in Iraq."

"Everyone trusts in the words of comfort and support from the Holy Father," he continued. "Their desire is to see him in Iraq but I don’t know if or when this will be possible," the monsignor said.

"There is great hope among the Iraqi refugees in Jordan," he explained. "In addition, today a group of Christian and Muslim intellectuals from Iraq that live in Jordan have written a letter asking Benedict XVI to take note of the sufferings of the people and the Church in Iraq so that everything possible is done to stop the flow of Christians out of the country. The letter has been sent to the Nuncio," he said."

On Monday, he is expected to visit the more troubled section of the "Middle East", the "Israeli"/"Palestinian" region.

Adulthood, a state of self

(Insider Confessions Analysis )

Article by Marc Aupiais

I used to be driven to church, even confession, when I started up with that again, but as an adult, I drive myself to confession, and I drive myself to church, at night, in the dark. *

I used to feel safe, secure, no longer: I feel scared, petrified, terrified. And when I sit in church, I feel as though being looked through, in the way: only one person: one girl, ever could do before: yet in a way as though communal, as though I were unconsciously naked, and only I didn't know. As though my sins, though not my virtues, were written on my face. It now, is as though there were an intuitive stare within me, but I cannot say: it is them or them. Before communion, I sense such, perhaps my own over-reactive, pro-active conscience, perhaps another's? This sense, seems real, even as dogma, as doctrine, feels physical, like mountains: this is as though fire.

When I confessed, I used to feel like I'd just had a flu shot, or ice-cream, as though I were safe, as though secure. Now, I only fear, when will I sin again.

Jesus says we must accept him as though little children, but having such faith: our father: St. Paul, the Apostle, writes, in his letter, as recorded in the Holy Bible: we who are adults, must do away with childish things. We are no longer children. We who know, are adults in the faith.

And, as I drive home, in the dark dark night, and as I walk fearfully into church, and fearfully about morality, and terrified, around God, whom we fear as much as I love, whom I fear like the sun, like the flames of life itself. I fear not man, but the intuitively present, perhaps there: pressing spirit, which tests my every crevice, and mostly judges me worthy.

And so, we journey with God; the adult acknowledges, that their every action could be their last, that their every hope, could lead to death, that they only have so much money, and so much grace to live on: and that the cost of some joys, is their very life, which they already lose now, and not just then.

Now, when we speak as adults: of the faith, we also know: that we cannot afford to be emotional about the truth: we cannot accept or reject something, because it sounds good. When Jesus says: "I am the Truth", he means just that, truth is "That which is", truth is the background of existence, on which all else rests. Truth, is that we sometimes name "Reality", which is the name of God.

Now, it is the virtue of Religion, which saves: religion, not being ceremonies, and sacraments, we'll get to these, and through religion, these are the way to Heaven. Religion: is the earnest seeking of truth, and obedience of true intuitive conscience, religion: is looking inside, reflecting on where we are wrong, religion: is seeking to be like God in proportion, and seeking God, as a child seeks their parent. Religion, is what we speak of in Lumen Gentium XVI, in Vatican II.

When we say that those, who know that it is necessary to enter the church, to be saved: we understand, they know: it is how they shall conform themselves, and anchor themselves to truth, by sacrament.

The church is that which is, Upon He Who Is. Those seeking a country, who see a path to it on the map, follow that path: the church is a part of truth, a tip of a deep deep iceberg, and itself sinks deep into the sea, like a mountain, with depths and depths below.

We who seek truth, must not reject, it's "Pillar and Foundation" (Saint Paul calls it such, when speaking to Timothy), which is the church, the body of the Living God: on earth. It is part of truth, and before we may seek more, we must enter the Country of the Church, the eternity of it, and never ever leave her bosom.

The church is the foundation, from which we search, she is addition, multiplication, in Mathematics. She is from whence we launch our invasion into the world.

Though I be scared, I am conquerer, though I be petrified, I will be bold.

We are the church, and we cannot be separated, as though our bonds were breakable, by anything but our own dearly foolish choice. We are the line of grace, and we must remain such. In God's grace, our fear rests, and is stable, and though the church look me through, and judge me harshly, it is God, in whom I am of comfort. Jesus, when speaking of who may be saved: said: come into the light. Those who are evil, avoid it: in fear that their sinful deeds be shown emptily up.

It is by treating ourselves as we are, then begging for mercy, and then acting as a slave should act: that we become friends of Truth, whom you call God. Honesty, and such in proportion, is that which is closest to truth. We all mimic"Reality", we all want power, as He is all-powerful, we all want to be known, who does not know of "Reality": but to be like him, we must be honest. What separates adults and children in Religion: is honesty, and though your reflection scare you, and even those of a saint does: rather see it, it will change who you are. If you do not look honestly into your mirror, how can you make yourself presentable to your Lover: God. Beware, God is as judgmental as "Reality" is, because God is the basis of all that is, the background of the Universe(s).

As St. John says in the Bible, the mature among us, must know we are imperfect, however more perfect than those around us, we must know: that we must always delve deep into the mirror, even as we look in our physical mirror day by day: and as our hair get's messed as we sleep, we know our lives also do, as we rest.

As we daily, or twice daily brush our teeth, and bath, or take a shower: so we must confess, as we look into the mirror. Remember, those who are not sorry, are not forgiven, whatever the priest may say: sorrow, being understanding we were wrong, sorrow, being determination to no longer sin.

And, as we daily eat our bread, so the Eucharist, is the sustenance of our soul: all these are the virtue of religion, in action. Religion only can move forward, and those lead in it, are always growing, even as sometimes they feel they are going back.

We either move back, or forward, and to move back, is as though falling into death.

That mirror, with which we try to see ourselves as we are: is not our bible, nor our priest: it is our conscience, and that which acts up, before we determine to confess: and we must confess all mortal sins in confession, since our last time, all we remember: and it is here, especially in confession, that we begin to learn who we are. This is the light into which we enter, where we wash our face to be presentable.

Religion must always push for what is better, and what is best. Live God in your daily job, and occupation. Obey him everywhere and always.

If those outside the faith are judged by their obedience: to the command: that we seek the proportional truth, that we seek truth, to conform ourselves to it, and that we seek it ethically, and with all our heart within, as we do our daily tasks, and beyond: how much will we, we who have the sacraments be judged?

A parent who asks their child to bath, when the child has no soap, or cannot find it: it is obedience, that if the child bathes, the parent cannot be too mad, because they are unsuccessful, but we know where the soap is, we must use it, or our living essence disappoints. It is not what you are given, which God judges you by, but what you do with it.

Your soul, that which animates your body, that which we call Life: is entrusted to you, guard it, like it's all you have, it is part of you, your body and soul are one: even as the wave and water are one. Do not let the flame of your life burn out, it is all you have to light up your dark. Follow the Catholic God

*It is not that I could not possibly be driven, I am yet to be entirely independent. It is that it is up to me, should I choose to go or stay, up to me to remember, up to me to drive in the dark, whether or not accompanied.

Washington: USA, North America: watching the dessenting vote: as the Democrats "ruin" America's sustainibility, what the opposition is saying

(Insider Confessions Analysis ; c.f. Inforumblog 13 / 02 / 09; Liberation (French; Secular; Liberal; Independent) 13 / 02 / 2009)

Article by Marc Aupiais

First Year Law students in South Africa: are wisely taught that the dissenting views, are as important as the agreeing views of judges: in looking at similar cases, in a cautious manner. By analyzing the dissent, we can understand the situation better: and have better hopes of winning other cases, future cases.

The United States Senate and government is going through such a stage: with no-one wanting to take responsibility for Mr Obama's controversial, and dangerous stimulus package. Liberation, a French language, French liberal paper: expresses the fact, that the position given to: Republican "Judd Gregg", which he later rejected over inherent differences with the US President: has seen more than one person offered it before him. It was hoped that "Judd greg", would help manage the US economy under Mr Obama.

The promises of Obama for bipartisan, inclusive governance: are long evaporated: he has attempted to force through bill after bill, and ignored many concerns of the watchdog of the opposition: who believe he is using short-term, dangerous means to attempt salvation of the American monotony.

His policies on global warming, and contraception are dangerous. A bailout for his abortionist backers: "Planned Parenthood", who were performing less murders of unborn children: was seen as pathetic, and efforts at "rescuing" the American economy by contraception: a policy which has created the aging workforce issue in Europe: was seen as not beneficial. The entire idea of constantly injecting more debt into the American economy, is seen as deadly by Republicans. Much of the stimulus package is just what got America into the situation in the first place: money which needs paying back.

Judd Gregg, has now withdrawn. it may be noted that his senate position would have been up for grabs to the Democrats, if he left it, however, he had already decided to join Obama's one influence government: before withdrawing.

America, is set to see the bill pass. Like South Africa: they will soon see the dangers of a state under the major influence of one party: of a party which ignores the opposition on many important issues.

It is how South Africa got away with prescribing onions as a treatment for aids, it is how South Africa has continued to prop up Robert Mugabe in Zimbabwe, against the international community.

America's choice to place an inexperienced politician, with ideology and empty promises behind him: instead of an experienced, and weathered: though imperfect Candidate in the job: has resulted in an already impractical, unimaginative policy.

How it is that the history of the communist and socialist world has been so ignored, is beyond reckoning: that free-market policies have been so abandoned, and that direct funding, rather than systematic and all-encompassing policies are adopted: is dangerous: in that it unbalances the system America is designed on. Funding buisinesses based on a structure may be acceptiblee, or based on individual issues: but America is ignoring the root cause of the issues, and simply seems to be keeping afloat failed enterprises. Not enough about the economy is known. America is endangering not only itself, but the world: by reckless policy.

What can be learnt: analysis of the dissenters: may well one day give a solution to the economic wreck of the western world: that perhaps can save it from the whirlpool, that unregulated, and unnatural markets have steered it towards: giving more steam to companies still heading in the same direction, is as an ineffective manner at curbing the problem, as giving condoms to those in hiv/aids areas. Like the need for marriage: and promotion of honesty, openness, and fidelity; is the need for responsible governance, and conservative, open, transparent, and human rights based market policies, along with intelligent, strategic economic direction, and stimulus projects: without all the liberal, and dangerous ideology, which has so hurt America in the past.

Without, also: America's dependence on cheap, and human rights ignoring labour: such as many plants in the east use for American companies, such as Disney, or Nike, such as dealings with nations which abuse the rights of women and those of different religiouns.

What interference is acceptable:

...responsible funding of business: and regulations which encourage natural responsible growth is.
America has relied too much on artificial markets, and foreign debt. Debt is like a boat taking on water. More debt, seems America's answer: this is short term. Perhaps their government should actually buy shares in enterprises, but more debt only postpones the inevitable, as with strait giving of money: it is seldomly spent on efficiency.

Governments must fund infrastructure, and create general measures; not specific bills: possibly ideas such as an economic development firm: based purely on what would make sustantive growth: and independent of government ideology. A research institute on economic policy, should certainly be set up: based on the experience, and capacity: and demonstration of success, and intelligence of persons: it must review which campanies have survaived, and why!

The communistic idea of a stimulus package: aimed at supporting failed companies: rather than at pruning an economy: and focusing on heathly business: and on supporting businesses which reduce executive pay before firing, and other such things: this could aid. If America: where to ban imports from human rights abuse nations: which use child labour, if they were to fund on poverty issues: based purely on the issue, and not on ideology: if we were to see programs aimed at jumpstarting an economy: rather than saturating it with cash: possibly: then government support is acceptable.

That Catholic Charities deal with 20% of the AIDS issue, with 2% of the fiunding, shows how deep the ideological bias goes: those doing most to combat disease, get hardly any of the resources.
Promotion of corruption via television, should also be curbed, as with bands, and childrens programs: which promote school killings: freedom of speach is not as important as the survival of a nation, nor is it anywhere as important as accountability and transparency: and accuracy of what is presented.

As it is: much of the money given the companies: will likely be wasted in the long term. The problem with electing a novice, and one connected politically with the banks at fault: lies in the fact: that rather than remaking and solving the economic system: the man is simply spending money in different directions. Government should be the framework in which economies and human rights flourish.
Obama: has almost entirely ignored his opposition in the US government.

Possibly, America may finally focus on sustainible development; and on the actual statistics of what grows or destroys economies. As it is: the rest of the world must heed America's naysayers: and realize that the need is to create a system which works: and then funnel monetry aid into that if necessary: in a tactical, competitive, and fair manner.

In either case, this is my humble analysis.

Note, rely on this analysis at your own risk, we cannot be held responsible for incorrect facts, or bad calculations of a fluid, dynamic and dangerous world and local economy. BBC Reports on the Papacy's strongest yet condemnation of Holocaust denial: "revoke: or never be readministered to ministery" (Paraphrase): Pope to Wi

While the Vatican has issued another strong Statement against Williamson's holocaust denial: BBC World News: Reports that the Vatican will not allow SSPX Bishop Williamson (anointed against the wishes of the Vatican, during the pontificate of Pope John Paul the Second) to return to duty: until he recants his views: essentially preventing him, as he and his fellow SSPX bishops and priests: currently already are prevented: from exercising legitimately: authority as a bishop (or as a priest). Essentially: this signs another possible impasse between the Society and the Church: which could prevent any visible and real Unification from occurring(the society is still not permitted to exist or operate by the church).

Vatican Information Service Reports:

"POPE'S CONDEMNATION OF HOLOCAUST DENIAL IS CLEAR

VATICAN CITY, 4 FEB 2009 (VIS) - Holy See Press Office Director Fr. Federico Lombardi S.J. made the following declaration yesterday afternoon:

"With reference to the latest requests for clarification concerning the position of the Pope and the Catholic Church on the subject of the Holocaust, it should be borne in mind that the Pope's ideas on this matter were very clearly expressed at the synagogue of Cologne, Germany, on 19 August 2005, at the concentration camp of Auschwitz-Birkenau on 28 May 2006, in the general audience of 31 May 2006 and, more recently, at the end of his general audience of 28 January this year, with unambiguous words of which we highlight the following: 'As I once again affectionately express my full and indisputable solidarity with our Brothers and Sisters who received the First Covenant, I trust that the memory of the Shoah will induce humankind to reflect upon the unpredictable power of evil when it conquers the heart of man. May the Shoah be for everyone an admonition against oblivion, negation and reductionism...

"The condemnation of Holocaust denial could not have been clearer, and from the context it is obvious that this also referred to the views of Msgr. Williamson and to all similar views. On the same occasion the Pope also clearly explained the purpose of the remission of the excommunication, which has nothing to do with legitimising Holocaust denial - something that, as we have explained, he clearly condemns".

(Online Version: VIS: Vatican Information Service: 04 / 02 / 2009)

BBC world news, which has been commended on professional handling of the Williamson issue: has reported that the Papacy has stated that they will not readmit English SSPX Schismatic: Bishop Williamson into the Roman Catholic Church's ministry: unless he recants his views on the holocaust. Williamson, as with all members of the "Priestly Fraternity" of the irregular grouping known as the SSPX, are still suspended, and not permitted to act as priests or as bishops. Their lifting of excommunication allows them to confess, but not give confession, they are essentially being treated as normal members of the Catholic church: and not as bishops as yet.

Williamson's grave penalty of latae sententiae excommunication, occurred as he accepted SSPX founder: Marcel Lefebvre's anointing as bishop: against the wishes of the Vatican.

While lifting this specific excommunication: in order to pass an impasse with the society: in which they were demanding both this: and wide availability of the Latin Mass: in the regular church: before negotiations continued: the Vatican did not lift the suspensions of either the SSPX Bishops, or of their priests, and the status of the society remains the same: with Catholics deterred from attending their masses: if at all viable.

According to BBC:

"A statement said Bishop Richard Williamson must "unequivocally" distance himself from his statements to serve in the Roman Catholic Church."
(BBC World News (Secular; British; Government; a source we find professional) 04 / 02 / 2009 (4th Feb 2009 16:51 GMT + 2))

Meanwhile: traditionalist blog: Rorate Caeli: claims that the whole situation: was somehow orchestrated to make the papacy look bad. According to them:

Fiammetta Venner, who they name a "lesbian" activist, along with her"partner", informed the Swiss press of the infamous (up to "300 000" Jews Gassed- claims by Williamson) interview: actually based, according to them: on a Canadian interview, which the SSPX Bishop was asked about. Rorate Caeli , quotes a document sent them, which claims that it, along with other events; were considered (according to a document sent them) too well timed: and they seem to claim that there likely is a Vatican document: alleging a plot, involving someone inside the Vatican.

While the actual post does not have a permanent link, which we can find: their comments window, with 55 comments, has the option to view the original post: this is the link to such:

https://www.blogger.com/comment.g?blogID=19978542&postID=6685582117221088431

Rorate Caeli , were one of, if not, the first source to air on the lifting of the excommunications: before this publicly was noted, and are highly regarded by many sources: they have been quoted on both SSPX and mainstream internet sources. Rorate Caeli: claims to have been informed of such, before several Italian Journalists aired the possibility of forces within the Vatican, or a force: working to disrupt the Image of Benedict XVI. They claimed, that they had believed that these claims should not have been aired by them, as Rorate Caeli : before being noted elsewhere: which has occurred. We cannot verify the Rorate Caeli: claims, or that of those they note to have also released such. They are, however interesting, and certainly warrant investigation. French Secular paper: Liberation, itself, sees the blunder of the Vatican, as odd: considering the manner in which Benedict XVI has dealt with the Jewish communities in the past.

According to the BBC, the papacy had no knowledge of the comments/situation of Bishop Williamson, in this they quote:"Cardinal Walter Kasper, who is in charge of relations between the Roman Catholic Church and Jewish leaders," who "admitted different parts of the Vatican administration had not talked enough to each other, and failed to check where problems could arise." (Both quotations in this paragraph: BBC World News (Secular; British; Government; a source we find professional) 04 / 02 / 2009 (4th Feb 2009 16:51 GMT + 2)).

Whether or not there was a plot: one can almost be assured: that the Vatican's press, and / or public relations related functions: need to investigate: how it was possible that the Papacy was not given the information needed to predict what occurred, or to be able to release a press statement with the excommunications' lifting: which would have clarified what they have now had to say.

While the SSPX's top brass are no longer under the harshest punishment of the church: their members still operate without license of the church, and their bishops are still suspended, as with their priests. Except in necessity, Catholics are warned to avoid their masses. Except where their is chance of death: their Sacrament of Confession must not be asked of them.

Before the SSPX can be readmitted to the Catholic church: acceptance of the authority of Vatican II, is likely a non-negotiable. The so-called "Society of Saint Pope Pius X" (SSPX), was formed to reject certain reforms occurring because of the council, even though the Late Marcel Lefebvre's signature, is clearly recorded on the council: and despite the direct affirmation by the papacy, speaking outside of the council: during the council's duration (Ecclesiam Suam point number #6), via an encyclical: as an "Ecumenical" council.

Vatican I, defines the code by which Vatican II, is to be universally accepted as free from doctrinal and moral error, as the church: by the faithful within Holy Mother Church.

Views about Judaism, and the holocaust within the society itself, may differ, especially when dealing with parishioners: which are not officially defined: as to whether or not en masse they are in schism (some are, some are apparently not): our news source monitors several traditionalist, and SSPX sources online, and we also have personal contact points within the irregular grouping: at different levels: via which we are able to gain a gauge of their activities and perceptions. Tough negotiations lie ahead of Vatican and society, and many obsticles: before the Society can once again rejoin the church.

Two well read traditionalist sources: Rorarti Caeli, and Fr Z, the first of which we monitor, the second of which we know of: but where the information was come accross, while browsing the internet for sources, and information: both seem to affirm: that Catholics are to treat the society in the same manner.

Rorati Caeli covers the their analysis of the current status of SSPX here, quoting what they say is a article in an edition of: L'Osservatore Romano:

"NOTE OF THE SECRETARIAT OF STATE

Following the reactions caused by the recent Decree of the Congregation for Bishops, with which the excommunication of the four Prelates of the Fraternity of Saint Pius X was remitted, and regarding the negationist or reductionist declarations on the Shoah from Bishop Williamson, of the same Fraternity, it is considered convenient to clarify a few aspects of past events.

1. Remission of the excommunication.

As already published previously, the Decree of the Congregation for Bishops, dated January 21, 2009, was an act by which the Holy Father graciously responded to the reiterated requests by the Superior General of the Fraternity of Saint Pius X.

His Holiness desired to remove an obstacle which prevented the opening of a door to dialogue. He now expects that an equal disposition will be expressed by the four Bishops in complete adherence to the doctrine and the discipline of the Church.

The extremely grave censure of latae sententiae excommunication, in which the aforementioned Bishops had incurred on June 30, 1988, then formally declared on July 1 of the same year, was a consequence of their illegitimate ordinarion by Mons. Marcel Lefebvre.

The removal of the excommunication released the four Bishops from an extremely grave canonical censure, but has not changed the juridical position of the Fraternity of Saint Pius X which, at the current moment, does not enjoy any canonical recognition by the Catholic Church. Not even the four Bishops, though released from the excommunication, have a canonical function in the Church and they do not exercise licitly a ministry in it.

2. Tradition, doctrine, and the Second Vatican Council.

For a future recognition of the Fraternity of Saint Pius X, the full recognition of the Second Vatican Council and of the Magisterium of Popes John XXIII, Paul VI, John Paul I, John Paul II, and of the same Benedict XVI is an indispensable condition

As it was already affirmed in the Decree of January 21, 2009, the Holy See will not avoid, in ways deemed appropriate, discussing with the interested [party] the still open questions, so as to be able to reach a full and satisfactory resolution of the problems which originated this painful division.

3. Declarations on the Shoah

The positions of Mons. Williamson on the Shoah are absolutely unacceptable and firmly rejected by the Holy Father, as he himself remarked on the past January 28, when, referring to that brutal genocide, reaffirmed his full and unquestionable solidarity with our Brethren receivers of the First Covenant, and affirmed that the memory of that terrible genocide must lead "mankind to reflect on the unpredictable power of evil when it conquers the heart of man", adding that the Shoah remains "for all a warning against forgetfulness, against denial or reductionism, because the violence against a single human being is violence against all".

Bishop Williamson, for an admission to episcopal functions in the Church, will also have to declare, in an absolutely unequivocal and public manner, distance from his positions regarding the Shoah, unknown to the Holy Father in the moment of the remission of the excommunication.

The Holy Father asks to be joined by the prayers of all the faithful, so that the Lord may enlighten the path of the Church. May the effort of the Pastors and of all the faithful increase in support of the delicate and burdensome mission of the Successor of Apostle Peter as "custodian of the unity" in the Church.

(Traditionalism) TAC Anglicans to join Catholic church?

(Insider Confessions Analysis)

Article by Marc Aupiais

In objection to "Homosexual" priests and bishops being accepted, and women priests, and such things: the "Traditional Anglican Communion", seeking to keep with biblical traditions, since 2007: has been on the books: as possible converts to the Catholic faith. Opus Dei, is currently the only personal prelature in the Catholic church. Chances are: the SSPX, will also become one if negotiations succeed, traditional Anglicans, a large grouping of the Anglican church, are muted, to possibly get this status: they have already asked to become catholics: it is up to the church, the ball in the Vatican's court: on how or if this is to occur.

The Catholic Church in England: has consistently undermined Vatican Authority in the past, and has declined significantly in recent times. If this Anglican grouping can enter the church: it would be a great blow to those bishops apposing the Vatican, and to the Anglican communion's liberalist enforcement globally.

Many authentic sources: have seen, since the 30th, and perhaps before or after: a possible reunification between many Anglicans, and (what Butler calls) the Ancient Religion, on the cards.

Benedict XVI, has been famous in certain circles for years: for his "Ecumenical" abilities: and ecumenism: is aimed at reuniting the Ancient Religion, with offshoots, and creating and forming better relations between groupings. Even his controversial statements on Islam, have, in the long run: caused the two global religion groupings to come nearer to one another: closer, via diologue: because: both sides then began to speak more fully. The Church, and many Islamics: have been speaking since, especially scholars: in a vibrant manner.

Benedict XVI, may be more important; historically, than John XXIII: whose reforms, were useful, but often misunderstood. The misunderstanding of these reforms, and the influence of secularists on the Catholic church: with secularist values: has caused a marked decline in vocations: and fear and worries throughout the communion.

The Introduction of the Traditionalist Anglicans, and the Catholic Traditionalist Schism of SSPX, an order of priests: back into the Catholic church: may be partly aimed towards creating the warmth, and diversity, and orthodoxy, and clarification in the church, which John XXIII originally must have intended in introducing the Church to the modern age via Vatican II. Certainly, it is better that we re-entered the age: on the terms of Vatican II, than as many other communities do now: attempting to navigate the tides of secularist movements, throughout the world.

A source, believed we should hear whether or not the Anglicans will re-enter the church: by around easter.

This, Anglican move, as with the long term effects of the SSPX ecumenism, could create rapids around the would, and not simply ripples. This is a great symbol: it is the rejection of almost secularist policies emerging in the Anglican hierarchy, which may use the bible to justify policies, but which are based in the culture surrounding them, and not in the time, and mentality of the early Church Fathers, as history records their beliefs on issues of morals and doctrine. Modern Anglican moves, have also been contrary to their historic views, with bishops taking views, which once would have been called heresy by Anglicans.

Reunification, gradual, and intelligent reunification, with both groups: could certainly create a dynamism: which could rescue the church herself more fully from the whirlpool, of secularist influences: who so powerfully assault the church from all sides, and even from those who have crept into her hierarchy: these are all things that Benedict XVI will likely consider, as well as any dangers brought into the church with the million (+- 1 000 000), with a large percentage of priests among them, strong SSPX following, and four hundred thousand (+- 4 00 000) strong TAC following. He is likely to review each case separately, as he determines what to do about each grouping.

The hope might be: in order to restart the powerful heartbeat, the dynamism: which used to bring so many priests, and nuns into the hierarchy.

In coming days: both groups could be incorporated into the Divine structure, and become truly Catholic.

Analysing Archbishop Buti Tlhagale's "genocide" accusations against the SADC (in Which the South African Government is implicated)

(Insider Confessions Analysis)

Article by Marc Aupiais

Disclaimer: The following analysis: is not an endorsement of the views of the Bishops' Conference, nor of Archbishop Buti. It is simply aimed at looking into possible effects of the Archbishop's claims, accusations, and statements. While, it is based on a viewpoint, and history, we do not guarantee that we are correct or accurate: Rely on this analysis, at your own risk.

Buti Tlhagale OMI, President of the Southern African Catholic Bishops Conference (SACBC), who is Archbishop of Johannesburg, also: in Pretoria (South Africa), recently claimed that the Southern African Development Community (SADC); of which South Africa, is an important member: either would or could be guilty of a passive Genocide: via the statement:

"SADC must stop supporting and giving credibility to the illegitimate Mugabe regime with immediate effect. Failing this, SADC Leaders accept complicity in creating the conditions that have resulted in starvation, displacement, disease and death for ordinary Zimbabweans. This is nothing short of passive genocide."
(South African Catholic 26 / Jan / 2009)

He considers the Mugabe government illegitimate, and sees the SADC (A regional body of governments), as giving it what he sees as false legitimacy.

The Statements: likely are aimed at creating opposition to the ruling ANC (African National Congress), in South Africa: before elections: so as to either: cause them to seriously consider acting on Zimbabwe, or else: to get more power to those who could. Archbishop Buti, has consistently lambasted ANC leadership of late, and has been angry with the church: for allowing the media to take her role as moral watchdog of society. The Archbishop of Johannesburg, has been much louder than South Africa's Resident Cardinal: "Napier", of the Archdiocese of Durban.

The ANC, forced through the legalization of abortion, and "Gay Marriage", despite massive opposition to both of these in South Africa (9 out of ten (90 %), and 4 out of five (80%), seem to appose, or view as wrong: these respectively)

As the ANC, is the only major key source of power: on whether Mugabe stands down currently, the statements: likely are not aimed at regional governments, but at the key regional player: South Africa. Those in Zimbabwe, also: already know of this situation locally.

The ANC controlled South African Government: which Buti, fears may not be accountable to the people (22 / Jan / 2009 ), has prevented international action against Zimbabwe, for about 8 years now. Whether or not related, a local Catholic broadcaster: was kicked off government airwaves; shortly after statements the Archbishop has made about ANC figures, and certain public matters.

Any influence of regional governments; may be aimed at pressuring South Africa, or else: at protecting the claims of Botswana, who appose Mugabe.

His statements, will likely not only tell churchgoers, that he is in touch with their lives, but these also: should win the church allies among those supporting human rights. According to South African Television Station (Secular; Independent) E TV, when looking at election results, and the follow up: at the time of the recent "Elections" in Zimbabwe: the MDC (Movement For Democratic Change) president: Morgan Tsvangirai: constitutionally (Legally, by election rules), is the true president of Zimbabwe, even without an additional election.

Mugabe, and the MDC, had scheduled for today, and attended: a meeting in South Africa, likely in Pretoria: in which they met with SADC. Public opinion, slants largely towards SADC, somehow taking the ZANU PF (Mugabe) side of things, or that the government in preventing peace efforts, which are not desired by mugabe: is not making the correct decision, if BBC World (Television) News reports (today) are to be believed.

The politically aware Archbishop of Johannesburg, certainly is not out of touch with his counterparts in Zimbabwe. The situation on the ground is desperate.

If he is quoting international law: then the document to quote may be:

"In the present Convention, genocide means any of the following acts committed with intent to destroy, in whole or in part, a national, ethnical, racial or religious group, as such:

(a) Killing members of the group;

(b) Causing serious bodily or mental harm to members of the group;

(c) Deliberately inflicting on the group conditions of life calculated to bring about its physical destruction in whole or in part;

(d) Imposing measures intended to prevent births within the group;

(e) Forcibly transferring children of the group to another group."
(UN on Genocide 12 / Jan / 1951)

c.f.
http://www.unhchr.ch/html/menu3/b/p_genoci.htm

Or another section of the applicable document. The problem here: is proving genocide, whereby: it seems: that the archbishop: may be more grounded in International Humanitarian Law, than in the Genocide declaration. Either way: he does call attention to something occurring, something: that if done with the results, as the intention: is certainly a "genocide" of sorts, at least: materially, but intention is the thing about genocide. As it is: what is happening in Zimbabwe, is a dire humanitarian situation, and whether or not a "Passive Genocide", is as important as one. Much of this is avoidable, and with political leadership, and clear actions: he clearly seemingly thinks: could have been avoided more powerfully.

Otherwise: the fact that these deaths are occurring(At least 3 000 (Three thousand) now), could be what he is pointing to: South Africa, in his opinion, if we interpret the release correctly: continues to stand by as Zimbabweans die in droves. The bishop could be saying that South Africa either is, or could become responsible for these deaths: if they do nothing.

Whatever he is saying, it is the second statement he has released: which has attacked government policy: in 4 days, in his 22 January address this year: to the Southern African catholic Bishops' Conference, (i think) in Cape Town: he said:

"South Africa has failed dismally as a mediator in trying to broker peace and a government of National Unity in Zimbabwe. President Mugabe ought to be persuaded to retire. He has done his country incalculable harm. SADC (Southern African Development Community) too has failed to offer a strong leadership in the resolution of the Zimbabwean disaster – it is no longer just a crisis. We call for fresh elections without Mugabe."

(South African Catholic 22 / Jan / 2009)

About 6 % of South Africans, in about 2005: claimed to be Catholic: about 10 % of the Johannesburg population, also: even though the Archdiocese: says that only 10% of these 10% in the Archdiocese of Johannesburg go to mass regularly.

The voice of the Bishops' Conference: is one of moral standing, as South Africa is highly religious: these statements could well be read in church this Sunday: previously, priests; have noted the words of this Archbishop.

This is the second time in four days: that the Bishop's conference president; has called for a Zimbabwe government without Mugabe:

"We call for fresh elections without Mugabe."
(South African Catholic 22 / Jan / 2009)

"We, the Catholic Bishops of Southern Africa, call on Mugabe to step down immediately. We call for the formation of a coalition interim government of National Recovery and the preparation for internationally supervised and credible presidential elections as soon as possible."
(South African Catholic 26 / Jan / 2009)

As to calls for Mugabe to stand down: maybe it is slightly aimed at those inside Zimbabwe, or an attempt to pressure Mugabe: as it is: The Bishops Conference: seems to be calling for Mugabe to be made to not be in the picture. Their claims against the SADC region, and indirectly against the "Republic Of South Africa": Government have certainly made radio news.
